Trip Report:
In 1935 Marshall South built a house atop Ghost Mountain in Anza Borrego Desert State Park, the largest park in the country. The hike to reach the opt is only one mile and can easily be completed in a half hour. To reach the summit of Ghost Mountain requires a bushwhack past the ruins of the house along a ridge for another mile.

I left San Diego mid morning and arrived at the trail head an hour and a half later. I drove through rain and clouds but arrived to sunshine. The hike took 2 hours round trip to the summit of Ghost Mountain. Here are some photos from the trip:
